Before & After Everyday Glam with Art Junki & Erin S.

One thing I love about being a professional makeup artist is helping fellow #BossLadies create a look that works with their busy lifestyles.  For todays post, I had the pleasure of glamming one of my college besties – AND fellow #BOSSbabes – Erin S.!  Believe it or not, this hot babe is the mother of two beautiful boys. On top of that, she works full-time, is a dedicated wife, and still manages to hit the gym and stay on top of the latest trends.  Erin has such amazing personal style!  She is not afraid to take risks with her fashion, and is constantly evolving her look.  From blue hair to mix-and-match patterns, Erin rocks each and every fashion choice with confidence.  Basically, when it comes to moms, Erin is GoalsAF!

With all the action going on in Erin’s life, she has very little time for makeup.  For her session, I wanted to help her create an easy everyday look, using neutral tones to compliment a large variety of outfits in her closet.    Please check out my before and after on the lovely Erin S, along with some product info to create this look:

Erin’s eye coloring is PURE PERFECTION!  For this look I used the following:

Shadow:  I used an all over base shadow that was similar to Erin’s skin tone.  I then applied a warm peachy tone in her crease to create some dimension.

Product Reco:  Viseart Warm Mattes Palette

Shimmer:  An easy and fast way to amp up your look is by using a loose pigment to add some sparkle.  Using your finger tip you can press the pigment directly on to your lid.  Then use a small brush to press the pigment into your inner corner and inner lower lash line.  One of my favorite neutral tones is MAC Naked.

Product Reco: MAC Naked

Liner:  I used an easy-smudge eye pencil for this look on the top and bottom lash line. Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil collection is AMAZING for a fast application.  If the line isn’t perfect, use a clean makeup brush to go over the lash line and smudge it out.

Product Reco: Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye

Mascara: I applied a quick, light coat of mascara on Erin’s lashes.  She recently made an AWESOME decision to purchase Rodan+Fields LASH BOOST – that I have been endlessly raving about!!!  Stay tuned on a future post for her results!

Product Reco:  Two of my favorite mascara’s are CoverGirl Lash Blast and Too Faced Better Than Sex

Brow Makeup:  There are so many options when it comes to brow products, but my FAVORITE is Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow.  I feel like you have a lot more control when using a brush to apply the product.  Erin’s natural shape is really nice so I just needed to fill it out.  On Erin I used Medium Brown.

Product Reco: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow

Blush:  I wanted to use a soft, warm tone to compliment Erin’s beautiful fair skin.  I chose a blush with peachy/pink tones.

Highlight:  A little glow can go a long way when it comes to highlight.  Simply putting a soft stroke of sheen on to Erin’s cheekbones greatly amplifies this look.

Product Reco:  For blush, MAC Warm Soul, and for Highlight, MAC Soft & Gentle.

Lipstick/Gloss:  A lip stain or colored gloss is perfect for everyday because they’re subtle, yet glamorous.  I LOVE this mauve gloss tone on her because it accentuates her beautiful, full lips, but it’s not too bold for day-time.

Product Reco:  I am a HUGE fan of NARS, but in particular, I love their chunky lip pencils and high-shine glosses.  The pencils are great because they act as a stain if you apply just a small amount on your lips, and blend it in with your finger or a lip brush.  The gloss is also an awesome option for daily wear.  Both have a large variety of beautiful shades to choose from!
