Music is my religion. It gives me a euphoric feeling that takes over my mind, body, and soul. At times, music has been my therapist. It can evoke feelings of sorrow, love, excitement, and sexuality – SHAAAAA-WINGGGG! Music can make you feel deeply connected to someone through dance, lyrics, rhythm, or simply the feeling it gives you. The instrumental and vocal sounds signal your body to move to the beat, and express your emotions. A life without music would be colorless and bleak.
My birthday this past weekend was by far my FAVORITE to date. I can’t remember the last time I had THAT much fun, and a major contributor was all the music. On Friday, I literally did not stop dancing (yes, even on potty breaks). The term “Dancing Queen” was an understatement. I definitely Walked it Out, Dougied, Dabbed, and Twerked my way through the night. Then Saturday was Stevie Nicks, with two of my fellow music-addicted gypsy sisters. Post concert, the dance party continued where I backed my thang up at Bar Deville to 90’s throwbacks, followed by the Hustle at Disco. The night could not have been more perfect.
For this post I wanted to take you along for the ride on this musical party train! From pre-game fashion to a Saturday Night Fever dance party, here you will get a glimpse of my PERFECT night out.
